Those with the car-jacking itch but not a DS (or criminal record), fear not. Take-two is sharing the love, with the critical success GTA: Chinatown Wars making its way to the greasy mitts of PSP owners this spring.

Before you start running off and expecting a remade 3D version, keep your hat on. Though the game will remain essentially the same, it will make use of the Playstation Portables powerful capabilities resulting in revised widescreen visuals, as well as enhanced animations and more story missions. How they plan to alter the aspects of the game that used the touch screen capabilities of the DS could also prove interesting.

So E3 has past and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the sequel to the excellent PS3 2007 exclusive Uncharted, won game of the show. Currently there is a closed Beta for new online portion of Uncharted which includes both Competitive and Cooperative Multiplayer modes. Fortunately I was able to get my dirty mitts on a US code just to tell you all how great this game is going to be.

We could soon be getting a true competitor to the almighty iPhone, Japan’s Nikkei business daily revealed today.

Reports suggest that next month, Sony will be forming a project team with the intention of creating a hybrid that combines the functionality of a Sony Ericsson phone and a portable gaming device. In other words, a Playstation Phone. This would seem like an odd business decision, if the touted device has similar features as the current generation PSP.

All right, here’s a good reason to own a PSP if you’ve been tardy in picking one up all ready. Upcoming 2D fight game BlazBlue on the PS3 will support Remote Play.

So you can play the game of your PS3 from any where as long as you have wireless internet connection to your PSP (and a PSN linked PS3 obviously).

Being a gaming Australian has just got that little bit worse thanks to the government's plan for a web filter that will filter out all sites that potentially contain material that has or would have been refused classification in Australia. Currently Australian retailers are not allowed to sell games that have been refused classification because for some stupid reason the government doesn’t allow an R18 rating for videogames in Australia and is the only developed country without one. So basically anything a 15 year old can't play an adult gamer cant play either, isn’t this meant to be a free nation?

Being a long time and enthusiastic fan (apologist?) of the Hitman series of games I was pretty excited for a big screen version to capture the decadence and class of my favourite game screen killer Agent 47. Instead I got a popcorn flick with teeth gnashing departures from the game material (hidden samurai swords? kidnapped children instead of clones?) I couldn't even be mollified by Olga Kurylenko's delightful acting abilities (both of them).

Well, very surprisingly, 20th Century Fox have hired screen writer Kyle Ward to pen a sequel.

One of my all time favourite 2D fighters, Samurai Showdown, is getting a 3D remix and you can see a cast list of the warriors involved after the jump.

It looks like the majority of the core stars from the game are making an appearance, it was last century that I last played it so forgive any ommissions that I neglect to mention. The three characters I most enjoyed from the original, Hanzo, Galford and Jubei are all in attendance so I'm happy. The guy I used to play it with all the time as a pre pubescent always played as Ukyo, he of the furious apple cutting, so it's nice to see him too. My only question now is, will Galford have his dog along with him?
