I’ve been a Resident Evil fan since the games first foray in survival horror way back on the first Playstation. But it’s impossible to deny that it’s a series of ups and downs. After adoring the first two games I hated some of the follow ups and spin offs and ended up missing out on the genre defining Resident Evil 4 as a result of a general apathy with the whole series.

This brings us to Operation Raccoon City, a game that ranks somewhere between diabolical and average, and threatens the adoration of the second generation of Resident Evil fans, those who started with four and five.

EA's critically acclaimed ice hockey franchise is revving up for a big re-entrance Sep 13. Chock full of new goodies, find out more after the jump.

It’s not going to be pretty. Right from the get go you know this isn’t going to be the end of Return of the Jedi with dancing bears, fireworks, happy ghosts and incestuous make out sessions forgotten. No, for Shepherd and friends, things are not going to end well. It’s kind of exciting actually; two big, complex games have led to this, the end game, the finale, the big cheese. Time to strap on your suspiciously form fitting space suit and save the universe or more likely die trying.
