Here’s a chaser before we get into the heavy E3 stuff, an interesting video for a game called Among the Sleep. It’s a first person survival horror game with a catch. The catch though, is a good one, you play as a two year toddler. Interesting. There's all ready been two of the three major press conferences for E3 by the time you read this and each had some exciting features and some not so much. I was very excited for Xbox Smart Glass until he said 'bringing Internet Explorer into your living room', that sounded like a threat to me. Sony tried valiantly to make me care about the PSP Vita (hint: It's going to take another price drop) but did a better job of exciting me about Wonderbook. So I've embedded my favourite videos so far below.

Also up top there is the first image for Star Wars 1313, a game set in the 'seedy underworld of Coruscant'. Expect lots of bounty hunters, and back stabbery with light sabers, not to mention scantily clad Twi'lek dancers. And on that note I am positive there will be NO dancing mini game involved. I'm hesitantly hopeful that Lucasarts have remembered they used to make fantastic games, including fantastic Star Wars games. I wonder if this has anything to do with the announcement of George Lucas officially retiring this week? Hmmm, Star Wars without Lucas, there is hope.

Here’s a trailer for Hitman called Attack of the Saints where Agent 47 flat out murders the hell out of a bunch of nuns wearing stripper type nun outfits. For some reason this trailer has generated a teacup sized storm over its overt sexuality, overt violence or both. Maybe I’ve spent too much time on the internet but the trailer didn’t seem to cross any lines I’ve not seen crossed before. Sure it’s lowest common denomination stuff, and sensationally misrepresentative off the type of gameplay Hitman is all about, but it’s not unrelated to the subject material. Hitman Bloodlines, the last game, had Agent 47 fighting off assassins dressed as strippers not once, but twice. Here’s the trailer so judge for yourself. At the end of the day the trailer has been wildly successful at its primary goal, promoting the upcoming game Hitman Absolution.

Here's the E3 trailer for Halo 4. While my first impression was a little meh, I got steadly more excited as the trailer progressed. 343 Studios have decided to mix things up with an entirely new enemy prescense of Forerunner origin, some kind of assimilating defence AI that, judging by the human skull in the enemy the Chief fights, uses the corpses of fallen enemies as raw material. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But for the first time Halo 4 is actually interesting me beyond being yet another Halo game. I smell some potential here.

God of War Ascension looks terrific, if not quite as awesome as God of War 3. If any game this year has a title to top it's Ascension trying to prove it can live up to, let alone succeed it's predecessor.

Dead Space 3 has coop, which may tone down the scares but could crank up the fun.

Here's a trailer for South Park The Stick of Truth, the long awaited South Park adventure game. Which looks adorably evil and hilarious. Like South Park, in other words

Dishonored is knocking Bioshock Infinite right out of the park in my book as far as most interesting and original looking game goes. This game looks mental fun, and very violent. The Thief like multiple approach methods has me chomping at the bit to play this one.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 continues to look like the most interesting Call of Duty game for a while. Nice to see Treyarch and Activision take some risks, even if they're very small risks.

One of the very few original concepts I've seen so far  is Sony's Wonderbook. An interactive spell book using the Playstation Eye and Move to make reading interactive. JK Rowling is involved and it looks seriously cool with a lot of potential. I'd love to see it live up to that potential.

The new Simcity. Just. Epic. Fun. Joking aside I'm very interested to see if Simcity and it's simple (or at least it seems simple) but addictive gameplay can capture the imagination of another generation of gamers. The original Simcity has to go down as one of the greatest games ever made. You'd be hard pressed to find a gamer who hasn't played it.

Gears of War Judgement so far has me pretty unimpressed. Rubbish promotional video that's all noise and no show. A prologue story? Bleh. And am I alone in thinking Baird and Cole, essentially punchline personalities, don't have the character to carry a story? Not only that it's not coming from the Epic house, but Epic Jr, aka People Can Fly. So far not excited.

Here's some guys demoing Resident Evil 6. Looks nice. Love the melee attacks. I'm hoping it follows my RE game chain of events diagram.

Here's Metal Gear Solid REVENGEANCE!!!11!!! Terrible, terrible name, good looking game. I'd rather have the acid trip funkiness of another Bayonetta game though.

And here's Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2. The last game got excellent reviews, unfortunately it's still on my 'Gonna play it one day, some day', list. This trailer presses me to make some day, some day soon.

Here's Lego Lord of the Rings from Tell Tale Games. I'm yet to play a Lego game from Tell Tale that wasn't fun as all hell. I've got high hopes for this title.

Splinter Cell Blacklist trailer reminds us that Sam Fisher rhymes with ass kicker.

Finally, here's a bit of pre E3 news, the trailer for Dawnguard, the vampire themed expansion for Skyrim. Yes you really can play as a flying elder vampire lord.
