Skate 2 got some new DLC the other day remember? The one I told you about, this article here. Wait!! Don’t leave I'm going to tell you all about it and if it is worth your money. The DLC is entitled the “Maloof Money Cup”, funny name that. It is simply a new skate park and half pipe modelled on the real life Maloof Money Cup’s skate park with two new single player competitions and some more free skate online challenges, as if the 110 that come on the disk isn’t enough. Trust me there was a lot of online content already.

Now, isn't this interesting. Infinity Ward have announced that their upcoming shooter, will retain the Call of Duty moniker. It's been a few months since the decision to drop the (mostly) venerable CoD prefix from Modern Warfare 2, but the decision to bring it back can hardly be called surprising.
Why have they done so? Find out after the jump.

One thing never ceases to amaze me. This insane fixation on review scores that seems to have grown steadily amongst the gaming community in recent times. More often than not you see reviewers dealt slanderous comments about their decision to give a game a score (say, around 7) for highly anticipated titles, which is perceived to mean mediocre. But did they bother to read the review and notice why it was given such score? You know they didn’t. We’re becoming a group that puts our complete faith in an arbitrary number.

A long time ago there were some games called Mechwarrior that were based on an old table top game called Battletech about factions in the future battling it out for control of resources. The series had a great little tag line I remember well, ‘In the future life is cheap, but Battlemechs aren’t’. He he, awesome.
Anyway, these games were very good and enjoyed by many. Then they stopped making them. Now they’re making them again.

It seems crazy that a game series that’s been around since before I discovered girls and bourbon is only up to instalment four in its life cycle. Even more crazy that despite a graphical boost the game remains basically unchanged. Then again Street Fighter IV pulled this exact same trick.
Command and Conquer 4 promises more than just another instalment of point and click future warfare, this will actually be the final instalment in the games Tiberium story line focusing on the war between the heroic GDI and the dastardly Brotherhood of Nod.
