In case you haven’t checked it out all ready the Final Fantasy XIV website has gone live with plenty of gorgeous pictures of the races to play as and places to travel too in the land of Eorzea.

Final Fantasy XIV will be a massive multiplayer online game like Final Fantasy XI and will have many of the features and playable races will be similar to that previous FF title. Square are even working on a way to make it possible to port across your player name from Final Fantasy XI to XIV. I must confess that I never played Final Fantasy XI and despite being eclipsed by bigger MMO’s it still retains a pretty faithful fan base of players. But this new game looks just too pretty to pass by.

The holiday season for gamers begins in September and runs right the way through to mid January with an A grade long awaited title debuting almost every week. Exciting times. The marquee games are often apt to have a range of delightful goodies for those gamers willing to hand over a few extra dollars. I love these things and I always choose to get the big shiny boxes over the standards. It felt good carrying my copy of GTA IV underarm in its big safe deposit box with prostitute adorned slip cover for the whole world to see. I even have the Viking: Battle for Asgard game soundtrack on my bookshelf.

But Recently those show bag styled extra goodies have evolved into fabulous, glittering prizes and those few dollars into a few too many dollars.

Okay, I think I have a full understanding of Xbox Games on Demand. It’s a service available over Live, in which you download full versions of Xbox 360 games to the hard drive on your console.

I'm well into 30 and unless there's some kind of time altering tear in existence, Groundhog Day like lesson to be learned or become a cyborg, I am probably going to turn 31 next year. Normally I wouldn't mind; bit of snow on the roof, a few extra lines, some salt and pepper in the side burns, hell George Clooney gets an incredible amount of action and he's way older than me. But recently I've discovered that ageing may have some early onset affects for gamers. To put it bluntly, my l33t gamer skillz are deserting me!
