I just love a quality single player experience where the production values are high and the immersion is complete (think Bioshock).  With every subsequent reveal Dead Space stock continues to climb in my books.  You play as an original character; an engineer who has to modify mining tools to exterminate hordes of nasty aliens.  The gameplay appears to be very heavily Resident Evil slanted with some Portal-esque type puzzles revolving around zero gravity areas.  There is no display on your screen, all HUD type info is actually displayed on your character model or in holographic form as your character would see it in the world.  Expect to have the absolute bejeezes scared out of you.  Due to the sequel heavy silly season this game is probably not getting as much press as it deserves.  Dead Space is a real dark horse in my opinion.
