Good news out of the house of Epic. Get your favourite red marker and scrawl March 31 on your Megan Fox calendar. On this date Epic will release one shiny new map pack and a full week earlier a title update will make some changes to the contemptable True Skill system of ranking.

I love me some RPG. For me the epitome of a virtual world game is one you really feel like you can get lost in. Games like The Witcher, Fallout 3, Fable, these games ring my bell big time.
Trouble is games as good as these, really competent RPG's that balance fun and realism with giant worlds are few and far between. Now it seems I have a new game to watch out for.

Yesterday Resident Evil 5 was released here in Australia, but it's actually been out in Japan long enough for players to discover that it's possible to unlock secret costumes for the game's characters.
Sheva's unlockable costume has been doing the rounds online and it's... it's rather raunchy. Capcom really need to be commended for dressing Sheva suitably for an African zombie apocalypse. I'm joking of course, so allow me to construct a lesson on authenticity...

More details are coming to light about a new game from Harmonix the developers of Guitar Hero's poor cousin Rockband. The Beatles Game has been confirmed as not being "just another rockband" but actually a whole new game experience in its own right.
I personally find this hard to believe but am excited about the premise. Especially since it has now been announced there will be 45 playable tracks including some rare unreleased B-Sides. I for one think it's great that Record Exec's are finally coming to grips with the fact there is one more than one way to skin a cat.

There's a phrase I've always liked, kind of a counter to that one teachers use "there are no stupid questions" (well of course there are, Today Tonight uses them all the time). But the phrase I like is "Better to remain silent and have people think you are an idiot, than open your mouth and remove all doubt".
Michael Atkinson wrote a letter recently to Kotaku and has now officially removed all doubt.

Lacking a podcast last weekend as an excuse to harp on about Stormrise I'm forced to wait until Mick and Derek have gone to bed to instead slip a blog post in about it under their noses.
Insert evil chuckle and steepled fingers here.

First the good news, there is a preorder bonus for what could be the best movie game of the year Xmen Origins: Wolverine. The bonus is a code that unlocks an extra area of the Weapon X facility with a few surprises.
Inside this secret area you will find four rooms.
