More details are coming to light about a new game from the developers of Guitar Hero's poor cousin Rockband. The Beatles Game has been confirmed as not "just another rockband" but actually a whole new game in its own right.

I find this hard to believe but am excited about the premise. It has been now announced there will be 45 playble tracks including some rare unreleased B-Sides. I for one think its great that Record Exec's are finally coming to grips with the fact there is one more than one way to skin a cat.

Dhani Harrison, son of Beatles guitarist George Harrison, recently spoke to Billboard and confirmed that whilst being a "totally, historically accurate" history of the Fab Fours incredible catalog but that it will also include "something old and something new". What that exactly is we don't know as Harrison is staying tight lipped.

Dhani has also been quoted as saying he "took the project to Apple and sort of convinced everybody to have a presentation." Sounds like someone wants to make sure he will get his royalties.

With The Beatles: Rock Band launching on September 9th on multi-platforms, the rumour mill and anticopatometers are likely to stay alive and well.
