QUICK UPDATE: When we printed this we didn't know the release date, now we do, June 9!
As man turned monster Alex Mercer you leap around New York city committing acts of, gosh lets just say terrorism, skewering people, throwing vehicles around and even consuming people to take on their identities. The game is heavy on the gore and violence and you basically watch New York fall apart around you in the grip of a mutant virus.
That’s not the most shocking thing though. The most shocking thing is that it’s just been awarded an MA 15+ in Australia. Hooray!

So Kevin Rudd’s big package hasn’t appeared in your bank account? Oh bad mental picture there, sorry. Maybe you’ve just realised you forgot to file your tax return. So while the rest of us are out buying two sets of Rock Band 2 instruments (in case the first one breaks) you’re stuck rooting through the penny pincher bin. Well don’t worry Spare Change has you covered.
Believe me when I say Dead Rising, one of the first games I ever bought for the 360, doesn’t play like anything else you’ve ever picked up. If that’s not enough to sell you try zombies plus a shopping mall plus using everything on the shelves as a weapon.

In an unusual move the Wall Street Journal has announced a new third person shooter based on real life events in Iraq to be published by Konami. The game currently under development by Atomic Games, of Close Combat fame, will be a commentary less “game-amentary” set within the Second Battle of Fallujah.

Ratchet and Clank, the ultra successful Playstation franchise from Insomniac Games is set to get a new PS3 entry this year under the guise of Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. A teaser trailer was shown at GDC and since then I have been waiting for any drop of information. Lucky for me the US Playstation site has released an official description including Key Features.

It's too early in the morning for me to even try and figure out what the hell the first Assassin's Creed teaser trailer is trying to tell me. One thing is for sure though, these crafty game publishers are really getting the hang of hyping a game to ridiculous heights in the build up to its release.
Teaser trailer after the jump.

New supposed screen shots have been leaked onto Flickr for the upcoming PS3 exclusive M.A.G or Massive Action Game. The game that has already won an award from me as the worst title for a game ever was revealed at last year's E3 with a CG trailer. Limited information about the game is know at this stage, most importantly is that it will support up to 256 players simultaneously online. To avoid chaos that seems to follow larger type team deathmatch games people will be split into squads of 8 with specific objectives to be completed.

Tonight on That Aussie Gamecast…
We visit the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Brisbane and go eyes-on with the new Ghostbusters Game. It’s baptism by fire as our newest Gamecaster gives Wanted: Weapons of Fate and Noby Noby Boy a thrashing. Trying to explain the shortest and weirdest games so far this year? Good luck Sam. And we discuss the Playstation price-drop, Mortal Kombat’s superstar development team jumping ship, a product that’s set to revolutionise the videogame industry and a whole lot more.
And as usual we wrap up the show with our most anticipated games.
