I had meant to include this as the Big Story on the Tuesday Cap last week for its combination of a super creepy Resident Evil game trailer and what’s essentially a Capcom snuff film featuring a girl in a wet suit that looks like Shakira.

While the console war remains an undecided battlefield, the lesser known battle of console advertising has now been settled and Sony are the winners. This has to be just the best damn ad for a game console I've ever seen in my life. Less Kevin Butler and more awesome like this in the Long Live Play campaign please. It's like some reverse Toy Story scenario for video game characters and their secret lives away from games, forced to spout one liners all the time and praise their controller. I've watched it three times all ready just trying to catch all the little references, and I might watch it one more time just now.

If you’re anything like me, first let me say congratulations on being so awesome, you’ve probably barely scratched the various game modes and unlockables in Gears of War 3. I’ve only just hit a hundred rounds of Horde mode last night. But all ready Epic wants me to fork over 800 MS points (or nothing if I’d bought the season pass) for Horde Command.
