Be advised, these aren’t spoilers just pure speculation based on information to hand. We really do expect Gears of War 2 to deliver a truly awesome package that will have us all playing as Delta Squad well into next year and possibly beyond. How can it not deliver? It has two of my favourite components from the movie Predator; a minigun, my favourite weapon in games and action movies and the Predator himself rebadged as the Skorge.

I’m looking forward to a memorable campaign that doesn’t end on a cliffhanger like Halo 2 and playing Horde for months to come. With the new Call of Duty looking to deliver more of the same with less powerful weapons, Gears 2 multiplayer has a good chance of pulling me away from my Prestige whoring for a considerable length of time. What I look forward to the most however, is Marcus being faced with a ‘do as I say not do as I do’ moment when it looks like Dom wants to abandon the war to save Maria just like Fenix Jr did for his father. That’s special stuff right there, maybe it can be gaming’s version of The Dark Knight. “Nice!”
