New Xbox Experience

A deadly combination indeed.  The new dashboard is unrecognisable in comparison to its predecessor.  Microsoft have opted for an Apple inspired hi-res, horizontally scrolling window presentation which looks great and responds quickly.  Gentle flicking of the LS will scroll through each window very swiftly, even someone’s friends list maxed out at 100.

Promotion of the latest cool stuff is improved as well.  Once your console boots up you will see the Spotlight feature; highlighting new content such as new game releases, DLC and demos.  This feature has already proven itself useful, without touching the controller I was able to see a graphic for Left 4 Dead announcing the demo was available for download.  With all the excitement of Call of Duty’s release yesterday it had completely slipped my mind.
