Welcome to Game Gadgets, a regular column highlighting technology from the world of gaming and a gadget obsession that goes hand in glove with our gaming obsession.

If you're a person who enjoys playing First Person Shooters on the PC i have something that might intrest you as much as it interests me.

The good guys at TN Games feel the same way as you; actually to be honest they want you to feel their pain. Their "3rd Space Gaming Vest" puts you right into the action and lets you actually feel it when you get shot for ultimate immersion.

By all accounts it doesnt actually hurt, it's meant to feel like a hard poke. Currently around 20 games support it, including TN games own developed Incursion, which comes packaged with the vest and Call of Duty 2.

The vest comes with a compressor, small enough that could be hidden under a computer desk, and connects to the computer via USB. The vest comes in 2 sizes; standard, for those who are S-M (up to XL) and Large for the more sizable gamers out there up to 3XL. The cost is $139 US (roughly $AU199 at time of publishing)

For those that really want to feel their headshots TN Games also have in development the "HTX Helmet." It lets you feel an impact when you get shot in the head, virtually of course, hear when bullets whiz by your helmet. The HTX helmet currently has a release date of 2009, No information on price has been released.

I contacted TN games about availability of their products in Australia, currently no deal with a retailer has been finalised but I was told that if you contact them on the website they can do special deliveries to Australia for approximately $AU90 for the Vest. It’s not cheap, but to those who are reading this drooling, it would be worth it.
