You can breath a sigh of relief. I can assure you this is not just another Stormrise screenshot. What it is, however, is a look at the upcoming Wolfenstein game. ID Software has recently launched a new website that promises to wet the appetite for lovers of the series (or even just the original) with a series of "Webisodes". The reveal trailer looks pretty cool, and gives a sneak peak at Wolfenstein's pretty awesome game-play.

The latest game, number five in the franchise, will be released on 360, PS3 and PC later this year. The trailer reveals a very nifty lightning gun and a lot of gore. As electric as it looks (Do you see what I did there?), I'm sure it will cause some debate with Killzone 2 fans as there are more than a handful of similarities between ID's FPS classic and Guerilla's PS3 selling behemoth. The armour, weapons and environments look decidedly Helghan.

To encourage people coming back to the site there are some cool features such as "missions" that reward the user with gold and will be part of a recruitment process. ID is being mysterious about what this means, but has this to say. "We have identified a new threat within Germany. The Nazis are harnessing the power of a new weapon and we need new recruits to accompany B.J. Blazkowicz in our secret investigation. Sign up and complete all of your training missions and you may be one of the officers chosen to be an honorary member of the OSA and accompany BJ in his next mission to the city Eisenstadt."

As extra incentive people that sign-up will be rewarded with exclusive VIP game content, advanced community features and helpful strategy tools. It's free and definitely worth signing up for.
